Student Centred, Active Learning and Discussion Based Lessons
Student Centred
All our classes are built around our students being active participants in their education. We give our students ownership of their academics in a guided environment. We believe that when a student is checked in academically, all barriers to learning fall away and true academic potential can be realised. We regularly check in with each of our students to ensure that they are on track to reaching their tertiary goals.
Discussion Based Learning
Due to our smaller classes, the lessons are no longer solely teacher centred. Students are encouraged to ask questions, they are asked questions and class discussions on the content of the lesson are common place at PEAK. By our students engaging in the class, they are active participants in their education and learning. Active learning causes lessons to be more memorable, increases concept recall, thus improving higher order thinking and application.
Cambridge International
We follow the Cambridge International Education syllabi, which are recognised globally and they offer our students a learning experience that is comprehensive. Cambridge is a leader in the education sector, offering a curriculum that has adapted and grown over the past 160 years.
